With everything I draw do for On The Lamb Games, there’s also a rich and well written history behind it.
For example, this hero is based off of an ancient Chinese general, who was a genius tactician. His arch-rival, who marched his army to a town that he planned on destroying, only found this hero sitting on top of an archway. He was playing an instrument, that was all. The arch-rival knew the hero’s reputation for tactical mastery, became immensely freaked out, and retreated.
What was the hero general’s plan? Nothing. He bluffed, and it paid off in spades.
