Time to Catch Up!

Hey guys! I haven’t updated in a bit, mostly due to the fact that I’ve been a little wrapped up in the “Wander” Kickstarter, which successfully funded and unlocked one stretch goal! 😀

I’ve decided, since its been a while since I’ve posted here, that I would update the page and the portfolio section! Let me know what you guys think.

Oh, and as always, there is LOTS of updates on art…I’ll throw down most of the “Wander” art I’ve been working on and post what else I can later. I’m under a good amount of NDA’s, so I cant show off some of the newest stuff, you guys know how it is.

Anyhow, with the Kickstarter I had to produce a TON of art for it, including characters, graphics, I had to get sculpts made and get those sculpts painted, its a whole process! I loved every minute of it though, and wanted to share. There is going to be art, photos, video’s, the works! All video’s were produced by Eldritch Studios, an excellent video production company run by a good friend of mine, Jonathan Phillips-Bradford! All mini’s are painted by Elizabeth Beckley, also known as the Miniature Mistress! Roland, Kira, Tank, Fynn, and Ibexus were sculpted by talented Heriberto Valle Martinez from Questron, and Rayna/Jon are sculpted by the amazing Patrick Keith!

For anyone interested, here’s the website for the brand new company I started up to make these miniatures a reality: http://redpandaminiatures.com/

Here’s some art from “Wander”, first and foremost:

I’m really proud of the reception it got at Gencon, people really responded well to it! That doesn’t compare to the sculpts though! Check them out:

We also had some AMAZING video’s produced for the Kickstarter! It was just incredible, check them out:

He also produced this video covering the convention for us, where we cover what we brought and thank our amazing backers for giving us the chance to be there:

There will be more coming soon, I promise! Until then, feel free to check out the updated Portfolio Page! 😀

Gods and Monsters!

FINALLY.

Its taken 3 years of on-and-off work, with a heavy 6 months of full-time work put in recently, but the project I’m working on is finally coming to fruition! “Gods and Monsters”, our first official game, is launching on Kickstarter July 22nd! My partners and I have toiled away making sure everything is just right. We finally felt confident that it was time and decided to pull the trigger. SO, if you like giant monsters summoned by deranged maniacs with access to unlimited power, then this is definitely something you’ll want to check out.

That being said, I get to share all the stuff I’ve been working on 😀

I can only preview so much before the Kickstarter campaign, but what I can share is pretty sweet! We’ve got a few color designs, a few sculpts based off those designs, and the box-art for the game. I’ll update with more work when I can, I’m sure throughout the campaign we’ll keep sneaking new stuff out there.

NOW FOR SOME SHAMELESS PROMOTION 😀

For those of you interested in backing the campaign, you can read up about the basics on our website at http://alteredrealitygames.com/ and sign up for an early alert for the Kickstarter launch at http://prefundia.com/projects/view/gods-and-monsters/5804/.

Dwarf Kings Quest Necromancer!

I figured its been far too long since I updated my art blog, which was for very good reason; I’ve been working super hard on a project that’s been brewing for around 3 years now, but we’ll get to that with the next blog post. I wanted to share the Ultimate Necromancer I designed for Dwarf Kings Quest, basically a younger more powerful version. I’m including the original design because its interesting to see the difference style-wise that a year or so can make on an artist. Its fun to look back and see how far I’ve come!

ME Fan Art update!

I got inspired while at Dragoncon after seeing a few incredible Mass Effect panels. One involved the voice actors behind some of my favorite characters, the other included the biological science behind some of the species. These panels, and the art walk, inspired me to go back to working on one of my favorite pieces. I’ve now included a Quarian Smuggler to it! I’ve got two more characters planned…a Salarian Black-Ops sniper and a Female Krogan who’s been infected with Reaper tech, but those will come in time. Anyhow, here’s the character and the updated group shot.

Storyboards! Edited!

So my wonderful friend Elaine Bergstrom, who will be animating this animatic, basically walked me through how choppy and weird my boards were, so here’s the updated version. Soon, this will be a video to be reckoned with! I just have to illustrate 20+frames now…G&M Storyboards_page1 G&M Storyboards_page2 G&M Storyboards_page3 G&M Storyboards_page4

Storyboards!

I’m working on an animatic storyboard for “Gods and Monsters”…honestly, its been a fun challenge! I’m definitely not used to it, but I wanted to share what I have put together so far. This thing is going to need some serious work before its all done, but I’m really excited to see the end product.

Something cute…for once.

Working in the tabletop gaming industry, you typically get stuck doing designs that are normally pretty intense and angry. I’m all about these designs typically, but every now and then I need to draw something cute for a change of pace. This is what I put together…I’m planning on doing more, maybe I’ll eventually turn it into something.

Dungeon Saga: Dwarf Kings Quest!

Mantic Games has been on a tear with their newest Kickstarter project for “Dungeon Saga: Dwarf Kings Quest”. It funded in 4 minutes…4. That’s insane. They tore through some stretch goals, and they’ve shown off a lot of my designs! I’ve been working mostly on the heroes and major villains of the game, and I’m proud of how they turned out. Anyhow, here they are!
